Campus Safety
The safety of the NCCU community and guests at the 2024 Ultimate Homecoming Experience is the university’s top priority. NCCU Police will enforce the university’s policies and regulations, and North Carolina State general statutes, including those related to alcohol, illegal substances and weapons. Violators of these policies, regulations and statutes will
be permanently trespassed from NCCU or arrested. The following security updates will be implemented to provide a safe and enjoyable Homecoming experience:
NCCU Police will partner with the North Carolina Alcohol Law-Enforcement and the Anti-Counterfeit Task Force to reduce illegal alcohol violations and the sale of counterfeit merchandise during homecoming festivities. All violations will be handled according to the law.
O'Kelly-Riddick Stadium/McDougald-McLendon Arena/Library Bowl (Student/Alumni Social):
Large and medium-sized bags, including bookbags, will not be allowed. All individuals with bags are required to use clear bags only. Any other type of bags will be subject to a thorough search by security personnel upon entry. Individuals found carrying prohibited bags will be ejected from campus.
Use Wi-Fi instead of Cellular Service
Expect limited access to cellular service while on campus due to large crowds before, during and after the game. Enable Wi-Fi calling (iPhone | Android) and use the free NCCU Wi-Fi network “Eagles-Guest.” No password is required on this open network.
Plan Ahead, Download Tickets and Pre-Order Food Before You Arrive
Avoid delays due to network coverage. NCCU is a cashless environment for tickets and most vendors.
Please download your game tickets to your phone before you arrive on campus. Most game-day food options are now available for pre-order via GrubHub. Please download the GrubHub app, pre-order your game-day food and be ready to enjoy the game.
