CAMPUS OPERATIONS UPDATES 

FRIDAY, FEB. 21

  • Academic Affairs: All classes scheduled will be held virtually.
  • Campus Dining: Pearson Dining Hall will be open for brunch 10:30 a.m. – 2:30 p.m. and dinner 5:30 – 7:30 p.m.
  • Campus Tours: All campus tours are cancelled.
  • Transportation: NCCU Campus Shuttle will not operate.
  • NCCU Student Center: The NCCU Student Center will be closed.

  • NCCU Student Center: The NCCU Student Center will be closed.

Feb. 18, 4:19 p.m.

A Winter Weather Advisory has been issued for Durham and surrounding areas starting Wednesday, Feb. 19, at 7 a.m., through Thursday, Feb. 20, at 10 a.m.

The university will operate under Condition 2 (Suspended Operations) of the Adverse Weather and Emergency Event Policy on Wednesday, Feb. 19, at 7 a.m., through Thursday, Feb. 20, at 11:35 a.m. As we monitor conditions in and around campus and potential impacts from Duke Energy and other service providers, this Condition 2 status could be extended. All non-essential campus operations are suspended during this period.

Students and faculty will transition to online learning. Mandatory employees, as determined by their supervisor, are required to report to work. Supervisors may allow non-mandatory employees to work virtually. If an employee is unable to report to work due to weather conditions or is unable to work virtually, that employee must take leave consistent with the Adverse Weather and Emergency Event Policy.

During adverse weather and other emergency event conditions, employees should take reasonable precautions for personal safety.

WEDNESDAY, FEB. 19

  • Academic Affairs: All scheduled classes will be held virtually.
  • Campus Dining: Pearson Dining Hall will be open for brunch 10:30 a.m. – 2:30 p.m. and dinner 5:30 – 7:30 p.m.
  • Transportation: NCCU Campus Shuttle will not operate.
  • NCCU Student Center: The NCCU Student Center will be closed.

THURSDAY, FEB. 20

  • Academic Affairs: All classes scheduled to start before 11:35 a.m. will be held virtually. Classes scheduled to start at 11:35 a.m. or later will be held in person.
  • Campus Dining: Pearson Dining Hall will be open for brunch 10:30 a.m. – 2:30 p.m. and dinner 5:30 – 7:30 p.m.
  • Transportation: NCCU Campus Shuttle will operate on a normal schedule after noon.
  • NCCU Student Center: The NCCU Student Center will open for all scheduled events after noon.
