Our hours of operation may vary with each semester. Hours will be modified during breaks, holidays and summer sessions.

Engage in self-directed programming at specified hours in our facilities. Activities include open-play sessions in the basketball gym, working out in the fitness center and playing video games in the eSports lounge. Our Olympic-sized pool is a hidden gem in the L.T. Walker Complex. We offer open-swim hours and special aquatic programming throughout the semester. Check DSE for hours, aquatic events, and classes. If you have any questions, reach out to our aquatics manager, Ashley Harris, at ashepar8@nccu.edu.

Our wellness and fitness programs are designed for those of all experience levels. From Group Exercise (Group X) classes and personal training to special pop-up events, we have a comfortable space for you to get active and have fun. Eagle Ventures is our growing outdoor adventure program. We have a variety of off-campus trips planned throughout the school year. These opportunities are open to students, faculty and staff for a small fee, which covers admission, transportation and materials.  Previous trips include ice skating, whitewater rafting and hiking. Eagle Venture Registration

For those with a competitive edge, we offer intramural and club sports. We host intramural tournaments and leagues throughout the semester to allow you to compete against your fellow Eagles in sports such as basketball, volleyball and flag football. Those searching for a little more competition can start a club team to compete against other schools. Our current club teams include women’s flag football, co-ed volleyball, e-sports and soccer. Our e-Sports lounge is the hub to meet other gamers on campus. We have PC and console games that you can choose from. You are also welcome to bring your own consoles and games. Additionally, throughout the semester we host pop-up tournaments at which you have the chance to win a variety of prizes. RecWell is here to help you feel good and function well. With a membership, you will gain access to our fitness center, Olympic-sized pool, massage chairs and group exercise classes. Members also have the opportunity to sign up for personal training sessions at a discounted price. Current NCCU employees, contractors and alumni are eligible to apply.
