Student Conduct and Community Standards

The Office of Student Conduct and Community Standards is responsible for administering a fair and equitable disciplinary process that upholds community and behavioral standards as embodied in the North Carolina Central University Student Code of Conduct.

Standards of Behavior

Standards of behavior at North Carolina Central University are intended to enhance and protect the University’s general educational process, including research and public service activities, as well as promote personal academic advancement and maturation.

Happy Student

The Behavioral Intervention Team (BIT) responds to student behaviors of concern that may affect the educational mission and/or operation of the University. The purpose of the group is to provide a timely response to student behavior concerns.

Incident Reporting Form

The Incident Reporting Form should be used to report student behaviors violating the Student Code of Conduct, whether these behaviors occur inside or outside the classroom setting.

Student Complaints and Grievances

The primary objectives of the student complaint and student grievance procedures are to ensure concerns are promptly dealt with and resolutions reached in a fair and just manner.
