An associate professor of music at North Carolina Central University (NCCU) has received the ASCAP Plus Award for 2025.

In August 2024, she returned to NCCU after a 21-year hiatus.

“I usually don’t sit at a computer for 24 hours,” Nadeem said. “You have a first time for everything.”

Wearing gloves, they collected six to ten oysters at each site. Along the way, they tested temperature, salinity, conductivity, total dissolved solids (TDS), pH and dissolved oxygen (DO).
