NCCU offers bilateral agreements and student track options for students who have graduated with a technical degree. These agreements are pre-approved course curriculums for students who select to study courses that do not always offer seamless transition options.
Eagle Access is a bilateral partnership agreement between Alamance Community College (ACC) and NCCU. The partnership establishes eight associate and bachelor degree programs to be delivered jointly through ACC and NCCU, including several hybrid courses that are offered either on-campus or online. The transfer articulation agreement includes the following: Associate of Applied Science (AAS), Bachelor of Science (BS), Bachelor of Arts (BA) and Bachelor of Business Administration (BBA) degree offerings.
The Eagle Connect Enrollment Program is a two-year residential program jointly offered by NCCU and Durham Technical Community College. Designed for a select group of first-year students, the Eagle Connect Program is available by invitation only. The Eagle Connect Program includes targeted academic advising, student support services and a student life component designed to help students succeed in meeting academic requirements for transferring to NCCU. The program allows students to make progress in their intended major during their first and second years while preparing for full admission to and enrollment at NCCU beginning in their junior year. Participating institutions are required to share academic, financial aid, financial and disciplinary records between the two institutions. Students pursue coursework through Durham Tech benefit from a variety of support programs and student services offered by both NCCU and Durham Tech. Upon successful completion of the two-year academic program and graduation with an AA or AS degree, students are eligible to fully matriculate at NCCU.
Eagle Voyage is a partnership between Vance Granville Community College (VGCC) and NCCU that offers area residents in surrounding counties the opportunity to earn a Bachelor of Science degree in Criminal Justice through NCCU. Eagle Voyage represents the first bachelor’s degree program available at VGCC facilities and the first time that NCCU has located an advisor on any community college campus. Launched in 2015, Eagle Voyage secures VGCC’s support for classroom space and technology, while NCCU provides a two-year course of study leading to a bachelor’s degree for students holding an associate’s degree. With credits transferring from the associate’s degree, students may complete the accelerated program over the course of nine eight-week mini-sessions and one summer at VGCC. Students benefit from a hybrid format consisting of Tuesday evening classes on campus at VGCC, with additional work completed online via the institutionally adopted learning management system, Blackboard. It is also an affordable option for students, who pay tuition at the NCCU Distance Education rate.
The objective of the California Community Colleges Historically Black Colleges and Universities (HBCUs) Transfer Program is the development of Transfer Guarantee Agreements that will facilitate a smooth transition for students from all of the California Community Colleges to partnered HBCUs. These agreements will simplify the transfer process and reduce students’ need to take unnecessary courses, thereby shortening the time to degree completion and providing cost savings.
The Comprehensive Articulation Agreement (CAA) enables North Carolina community college graduates of two-year Associate of Arts (AA) and Associate of Science (AS) degree programs who are admitted to constituent institutions of the University of North Carolina to transfer with junior status.
All courses approved for transfer in the CAA are designated as fulfilling general education or pre-major/elective requirements. While general education and pre-major courses may also be used as electives, elective courses may not be used to fulfill general education requirements.
