The North Carolina Central University (NCCU) Office of Communications and Marketing serves as the steward of the university’s brand identity and provides a range of services to NCCU’s community of students, parents, employees, alumni, news media, government and community leaders and the general public. These services include internal and external communications and marketing support services.

Our powerhouse of communications and marketing professionals are committed to shaping and elevating the University’s brand to new heights. We collaborate closely with faculty, staff and key stakeholders to showcase the NCCU experience through a multifaceted approach that makes a lasting impact on local and global communities.
NCCU is full of great stories that model the University’s mission of "Truth and Service." From ground-breaking research and effective community initiatives to showcasing the diverse accomplishments of faculty and students, our skilled storytellers pitch compelling narratives to media reporters that promote the unique and innovative work that happens daily on the sloping hills and verdant green.
The social media team leads the University’s social media strategy to achieve institutional goals and maximize brand awareness. They curate and create content that showcases the university experience for current and potential students and employees, alumni and the community. They also partner with and support schools, colleges and departments for maximum activation of news and events.
For special events such as university initiatives, department programs and other large-scale campus celebrations, our creative team delivers standout brand identities for digital and print invitations, programs and event branding. We will work with you to develop a production schedule for each project.
Photography plays an important role in our brand communications because it tells our story visually. The Office of Communications and Marketing provides photography and videography services to help enhance materials created for the University.
A brand is the sum of all the expressions by which an organization intends to be recognized. We work with campus partners to produce professional and consistent experiences with everyone who interacts with NCCU via messaging and imagery.
