The Annual Fund at North Carolina Central University is an integral part of the university’s fundraising effort. The Annual Fund appeals to the alumni, parents, students, faculty, staff and friends to encourage their lasting connection and involvement at NCCU.
The university receives funds from tuition, state budget appropriations and private support. Though tuition and state monies provide a large part of NCCU’s operating budget there is always more needs than these two sources can supply. Unrestricted gifts to the Annual Fund meet these needs.
Unrestricted gifts allow the university the greatest amount of flexibility to meet pressing needs. Unlike endowed funds, which are invested and generate support for specific purposes, the Annual Fund plays a vital part in the day to day operations.
