The Evening & Weekend Degree Program (EWDP) is offered through NCCU's Division of Extended Studies. EWDP is an educational alternative for adult learners who are unable to attend programs that are offered at the traditional time during the week. EWDP offers options to complete your Bachelor's degree whether you plan to begin a college education, complete an interrupted college education, change degree/professional plans, or transfer from another two or four-year institution.

Mission Statement

The mission of the Evening & Weekend Degree Program is to promote the mission of North Carolina Central University by providing an intellectual campus environment during the evening and weekends were working adults may pursue an undergraduate, graduate or professional degree, certification, or complete individual courses that will enhance their skills and knowledge as part of a lifelong learning process.

Presently, EWDP offers courses in the following Undergraduate Studies:

  • Business Administration
  • Criminal Justice
  • Elementary Education*
  • Hospitality and Tourism
  • Public Administration
  • Middle Grades Education*
  • RN to BSN (hybrid)

*= field experience and student internships may be completed during the day.
